Who we are
Fluent Thoughts is a consumer informational and educational resource operated by ALG INNOVATION GROUP INC. Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect the email address you register with. When you use the app, we store the thoughts, notes, and other content you choose to capture, along with the AI-generated summaries, tags, and categorizations the app produces from that content. We also collect basic usage data (such as sign-up dates, subscription status, and anonymized analytics events like page views) needed to operate and improve your account, and we capture acquisition metadata (such as the referrer or marketing campaign that brought you here) at signup. We do not sell your personal information.
How we use your information
We use your information to provide the Fluent Thoughts service — storing, organizing, summarizing, and resurfacing your captured thoughts; sending the transactional email digests and reflection reminders you enable; processing subscription payments; and communicating with you about your account. We send marketing emails (product tips and news) only if you have opted in, and you can opt out at any time from your Profile or via the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
AI processing and disclosures
Captured thoughts and any content you provide to the interview or insight features are sent to third-party AI model providers to generate summaries, tags, categorizations, and to power the insight, resurface, and interview features. This processing is performed to deliver the service you requested. Your content may be retained by the AI provider only for as long as necessary to serve your request and is handled under that provider's data-processing terms; we do not knowingly use your content to train shared models for other users. AI-generated summaries and tags are approximate and may contain errors — treat them as a starting point, not as professional advice. You are not required to use AI features: your thoughts are stored regardless, and you can capture without AI enrichment.
Marketing communications
Service messages (account, security, payment, and the digests you enable) are sent as part of operating your account and are not marketing. Marketing emails are separate and require your opt-in. You can change your marketing preference at any time from your Profile, or unsubscribe via the link in any marketing email. Opting out of marketing never affects your account or service.
Subscriptions and payments
Paid subscriptions are processed by our payment processor, Base44 Payments. Your payment card and billing details are handled by the processor and are not stored in this app. When you cancel, you keep access through the end of the period you have already paid for, then revert to the free plan; your thoughts are never deleted on cancellation. Records of your payments are retained for billing, accounting, and legal purposes.
Sharing and disclosure
We share information only as needed to operate the service (for example, with our payment processor for subscriptions and our email delivery provider for digests and notifications), or when required by law. Any such provider is bound by obligations to protect your information and to use it only to provide the service we requested.
Data retention
We retain your captured content and account information for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual thoughts or archived items at any time, and you can export or permanently delete all of your thoughts from your Profile. Payment records are retained for billing and legal purposes. Deletion of your thoughts is permanent and cannot be undone.
Your rights
You may access, correct, or delete the content you have captured, export your data as JSON, and close your account at any time. You can exercise these rights directly from your Profile (export and delete) or by contacting us at info@alginnovationgroup.com. We respond to verified requests within a reasonable timeframe.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
Fluent Thoughts is not directed to children under 13 (16 in the EEA/UK), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the 'last updated' date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after a change indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
